LIANA PROGAR

My name is Liana Progar (she/her). I am a senior Digital Media - Web and Social Platforms major at the University of Central Florida, graduating in May 2024. I have been involved in digital media/digital design and journalism since 2013. As the years have passed, my passion for these areas has grown.

 

I am currently working for the UCF Recreation and Wellness Center (RWC) as a Marketing Assistant. In this role, I have created various promotional designs, such as Instagram posts, posters, fliers, stickers, and t-shirts. Additionally, I photographed various RWC events and maintained the RWC website on WordPress.

 

Beyond working in digital media and graphic design, I have been a part of Sparks Magazine at UCF, a student-run and produced magazine focused on sharing the Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) experience. Joining Sparks Magazine in 2020, I have climbed my way through the ranks and currently hold the position of Editor-in-Chief. 

 

Being in these various roles have helped me understand who I am as an individual and as a team player. As a person, I want to initiate positive change; no matter how small, with the aim of fostering meaningful impact. As a team member, I strive to enhance my work environment and bring new ideas to the table.
